Useful advices for the visit of the cellar

  • Schedule:  We kindly ask that you check-in at the reservations desk a few minutes prior to your tour’s departure time. Groups may include other guests as well as yourselves. If you arrive late, unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee your participation to the full programme.
  • Children: We are happy to welcome your children inside our historical wine cellar. Please note that the winery is above all a primary workplace and production facility. Therefore you are kindly requested to hold your children close to you during your visit. Naturally, minor than 18 years old will not be allowed to participate in the wine tasting.
  • Dogs: The cellar is a workplace and production facility and unfortunately it is not suitable for pets. You could access the cellar with your small dogs only helding them in your arms.
  • Other:
    There are some stairs in the cellar. We suggest you to wear comfortable shoes.
    The historical cellar present some access difficulties for people with motor disabilities. For them, a glass of wine in the tasting room will cheer the wait.
    Smoking is strictly forbidden in the cellar.
  • Payment: It can be done on spot at the end of the tour by cash or by the main credit cards.
  • Cancellation: The reservation can be cancelled free of charge within the day before the visit sending an email to winetour@verrazzano.comIn case of cancellation on the day of the tour or in case of no-show, the 20% of the total cost will be charged.

The Castle of Verrazzano is in the heart of Chianti not far from the SR 222, the “Chiantigiana”, which leads from Florence to Siena winding through the Tuscan hills.
