Scarpati - Wuppertal
Saturday November 24 Castello di Verrazzano was the protagonist of a dinner with tasting at Scarpati Restaurant in Wuppertal.
Painter Labral at Verrazzano
Labral is on vacation at Verrazzano farmhouse.
The artist portrays the charm of the area through his drawings and paintings preferably made with the oil technique and has long been capturing the lines and shapes of the Chianti landscape and in particular those of Castello di Verrazzano in his works.
This year he decided to spend a few days of full immersion in the atmosphere that is so dear to him. Visitors arriving at Verrazzano these days will have the surprise to find the painter at work with his easel, brushes and palette. We recommend silence and discretion to keep the magic of our country to which the painter is so fond.
From all the staff at Verrazzano a heartfelt thank to the painter for his preference

Decanter: 5 stars for Chianti Classico 2006 and Chianti Classico Riserva 2005
Castello di Verrazzano, Chianti Classico 2006: Cherry and earth aroma. Almost smoky fruit on palate, smooth and mouthfilling. Should get even better with a little time. 2008-2012.
Castello di Verrazzano, Chianti Classico Riserva 2005: Slightly closed, but a large-scale, Sangiovese-dominated Chianti, juicy and long finishing. Needs time. 2010-2022.
Luigi Giovanni Cappellini awarded by "Genio Fiorentino"
May 20, 2007
On Sunday May 20, during the events for "Genio Fiorentino" the novelties and the excellencies in the Province of Florence were awarded. Castello di Verrazzano, in person of Luigi Giovanni Cappellini, received the award for the innovation in the communication for the WINEDESIGNCONTEST2007. For more information on the winning initiative: www.winedesigncontest.it
The historical Chianti Classico estate, Castello di Verrazzano, is pleased to announce a new enterprise: a competition for web design. The WINEDESIGNCONTEST 2007 is a competition of ideas for the realisation of a multimedial presentation of the new Chianti Classico vintage. The competition has been devised together with Florence University - Degree Course in Industrial Design - and Firenze Design.
Luigi Giovanni Cappellini, owner of the estate, would like to underline the true spirit of the enterprise: We , the people of Verrazzano, an estate steeped in the history of Chianti, defender of the many noble aspects of Tuscan wine making, felt the necessity to communicate something new and to represent the dynamic nature of the estate. In fact, even though the estate is set in an environment of stone and crenellated towers, the spirit of Verrazzano is dynamic and modern, an aspect represented by the fact that the average age of the staff is very young. One feels almost to have the right to affirm that this is a young historical enterprise!
The competition is better described on the website www.winedesigncontest.it

Harvest at Verrazzano
In those days of full work for the vintage, in a period that for us it's the most important of all the year because of its power of deciding our future products, some junior schools brought at our castle lots of children who with their fun, vivacity, wish to learn the secrets of such a mysterious world, our world, they made us very pride and actually they found for us the reasons to do always more than the best...
That it is, as it's wonderful working with the awareness that you can offer not only products of the best quality but also, and maybe first of all, it's really important feeling ourselves a part of who spreads a knowledge of our tradition, a tradition that makes us tied to our country and that for this reason it always remembers us who we are and from where we come; all this it's a very special mission for us, a mission at which we think of taking part, even if a little part, and, why not, just beginning from the sweet eyes of those children who look at us with a big wish to learn.
Told you this: Good Harvest!
